1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how user information is handled in VRC Avatar Viewer, VRC Avatar Viewer Capture, and VRC Avatar Viewer Exporter (collectively, the "App").


2. Version Check and Other Network Communications

The viewer app communicates with the following server at startup to check its version.

- Destination: https://api.vrcavatarviewer.com
- Information sent: only the current version number of the App
- Purpose: checking the latest version and notifying users of required updates
- Timing: when the app starts (and retries if the connection fails)

In this communication, your IP address may be recorded in server access logs.

If you install or update Exporter through VRChat Creator Companion or similar tools, your operation may cause access to the VRC Avatar Viewer distribution server. In that case, the server may record access logs such as IP address, access date and time, and User-Agent.


3. Webcam and Microphone Use and Local Processing

VRC Avatar Viewer Capture may use the webcam and microphone selected by the user to provide motion capture, face tracking, lip sync, and related features.

Webcam images, microphone audio, and data estimated from them, such as posture, facial expressions, and mouth shapes, are processed in the user's local environment. The developer does not collect or send these images, audio, or estimation results to the developer's servers.


4. Communications via VMC, OSC, OSCQuery, and Related Features

When the user enables features such as motion capture integration, VMC Protocol, VRChat OSC, OSCQuery, or related functions, the App may open local ports and communicate with external applications on the same PC, applications on the local network, or destinations specified by the user.

These communications may include posture, facial expression, gaze, lip sync, BlendShape values, avatar parameter names and values, and other data necessary to control avatars.

These communications are performed to integrate with external applications specified or enabled by the user. The developer does not collect or send the contents of these communications to the developer's servers.


5. Export Processing

VRC Avatar Viewer Exporter runs inside the user's Unity project to convert models, avatars, clothing, accessories, and other data selected by the user into a format for the App.

The source models, assets, Unity project contents, and exported file contents are not collected or sent to the developer's servers.


6. Information the Developer Does Not Collect

Through the App, the developer does not collect or send the following information to the developer's servers.

- User personal information, such as name, email address, or phone number
- .avab file names or file contents
- File save paths
- Avatar names, model names, or asset contents
- Webcam images or microphone audio
- Estimation results from motion capture, face tracking, lip sync, or related features
- Avatar control data sent or received through VMC, OSC, OSCQuery, or related features
- Device-specific identifiers
- Usage statistics or analytics data


7. Consent

By downloading, launching, installing, or starting to use the App, you are deemed to have agreed to this Privacy Policy.


8. Changes to This Policy

The developer may update this Privacy Policy as needed.
Any updated policy becomes effective when announced on the distribution page or in the App.
